Online poker has become world celebrated lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier saying "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different players receive 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you have to either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original bet, meaning that the risks will have doubled. Giving Up means that your bet goes immediately to the bank. After the wager comes the face off. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, with an amount on par with the ante. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The dealer pony’s up money even with your bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
