Online poker has become globally famous recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house instead of each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer broadcasting "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different gamblers acquire five cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s initial card, you must either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s value is on same level to your original ante, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes immediately to the house. After the wager comes the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, plus a figure in accordance with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The house pony’s up chips even with your bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
