Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the wild west in an excellent game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the house, unlike nearly all other poker games that gamblers compete with other players. By wagering against the dealer, beginning players do not need to worry about other, more skillful individuals taking their cash.

One more Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game pace, rookies can take their time and plan while not needing to make frenzied choices.

It is also easier to bet on for an extended time with only a tiny bit of money since, to lose, each of your hands needs to be under each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is given seven cards face up and the casino gets 7 cards face down.

One five card hand and one two card hand must be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the houses.
