Ah, the poker tilt. If a poker player claims at no time to have peered down the shadow of an upcoming poker tilt – they are either telling a lie or they have not been betting for a long time. This doesn’t imply of course that every poker player has gone on steam before, some players have great control and take their losses as a defeat and keep it at that. To be a powerful poker player, it is absolutely critical to approach your successes and your defeats in the same manner – with little emotion. You participate in the game in the same manner you did following a tough loss like you would after winning a great hand. Many of the poker masters are not charmed by tilting after a horrible loss as they are highly experienced and you should be to.

You must understand that you will not win every hand you are in, regardless if you are strongly favored. Hands which frequently cause players to go on tilt are hands you were the favored or at a minimum believed you were up until you were hit and you burned a big portion of your bankroll. Bad defeats are going to develop. Accept that certainty right now, I’ll say it once more – if your brother plays cards, if your parents play cards, if your grandma plays cards – We all have bad beats sometime. It is an unavoidable experience of playing Hold’em, or really any kind of poker.

After all we are assumingly (almost all of us) in the game for a single reason – to win cash, it certainly makes sense that we will bet accordingly to maximize winnings. Now let us say you are up one hundred dollars off of a 100 dollars deposit, and you suffer a gigantic blow in a No Limits game and your stack is only has remaining one hundred and twenty dollars. You have lost eighty dollars in a round where you should have picked up $200two hundred dollars when you went all-in on the flop and had a 10 – 1 edge. And that amateur! He bled you dry on the river? – Well hold it right there. This is a classic opportunity for a fresh bettor to start tilting. They basically lost too much $$$$ on one round that they really should have won and they are angry
