Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Based on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the wild west in a wonderful game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the croupier, unlike almost all other poker games that players bet against other players. By gambling against the dealer, starting players don’t need to fret about any other, more experienced gamblers taking their moolla.

One more Pai Gow edge is the generally leisurely game play, beginners are able to take their time and strategize while not needing to make hasty selections.

It’s also easier to bet on for an extended time with only a tiny amount of money seeing as, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards face up and the dealer is dealt 7 cards face down.

One 5 card hand and one two card hand have to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the houses.
